Open to the Public

What does a public event need?

Enough standard units for the crowd, and an ADA unit at every spot where you group toilets. A public event is open to anyone, so some of your guests will need an accessible unit.

We always recommend containment trays and hand wash stations as well. We can facilitate it all. If you need a dumpster for the event trash too, we can do that as well.

Tell us the crowd size and how long the gates are open. We will tell you how many units of each kind.

Know your crowd size? Put it into our porta potty calculator. Pick “public” and it adds the ADA unit for you.
How Many Units

How many porta potties does my event need?

Three things decide it: the crowd, how long it runs, and how many places people gather. Drinks and longer hours both push the count up.

STANDARD UNITS
1per 50 to 75 guests
Event lengthUnder 4 hours
Longer eventAdd units
Drinks servedAdd units
Starting point

A short event with 300 guests starts around 4 to 6 units. We confirm the final count with you.

Toilets in three spots need an accessible unit at each spot. One ADA unit at the far end does not cover it.

Does an event need servicing? A one-day event usually does not. For multi-day events, we can plan a visit. See porta potty servicing.

Event Types

Will this work for my event?

Every event moves people differently. Here is what to plan for with each.

EVENT 01

Festivals, Fairs and Concerts

Big crowds come in waves: between sets, at halftime, when the food line peaks. Set units in clusters near where people gather, each with its own ADA unit.

Hand wash stations go near the food.

EVENT 02

Races and Outdoor Events

Races need units at the start and finish, where the crowd bunches up. Long courses may need a few along the way. Send us the map and we will plan the clusters.

Off the pavement is fine. We’ll go where others won’t.

EVENT 03

Community and Mountain Events

Town celebrations, park events, ski-area and resort events. We deliver to Park City, Heber, Midway and the canyons.

Mountain weekends fill up first, so call early.

EVENT 04

Private Parties and Weddings

Not open to the public? The same math works: about 1 unit per 50 to 75 guests for under 4 hours. Weddings and private parties have their own page.

Pricing and Booking

How much does an event porta potty rental cost?

Pricing depends on the units, the length of the rental and the location. A 300-guest festival with hand wash stations and a backyard party with one unit are very different quotes.

Your quote is calculated for your exact address, travel included, so the number you get is the number you pay.

For events within a week, please give us a call at 801-230-5045. If not, fill out the form and we’ll get in touch with you ASAP. Weekend events get Friday delivery and Monday pickup.

We keep it simple: one call that handles it all.

Events make trash too. Dumpster rentals and portable toilets come from the same company and the same phone number.

Common Questions

Event porta potty questions

How many porta potties do I need for an event?
Plan on 1 standard unit per 50 to 75 guests for an event under 4 hours. Longer events and events with drinks need more. Our porta potty calculator gives you a starting number, and we confirm the final count with you.
How many ADA porta potties does a public event need?
Under the 2010 ADA Standards, at least 5 percent of your units, and at least one per cluster, must be accessible. Units in three spots need an accessible unit at each spot. Our ADA requirements guide covers the details.
Do I need a hand wash station at my event?
We always recommend one, especially if food or drinks are served. We set hand wash stations next to the toilets.
Can porta potties go on grass at a park or venue?
Yes. We recommend a containment tray under each unit to protect the lawn or pavers from drips.
How much does an event porta potty rental cost?
It depends on the units, the length of the rental and the location. Your quote is calculated for your exact address, travel included, so the number you get is the number you pay.
How do I book porta potties for an event?
For events within a week, please give us a call at 801-230-5045. If not, fill out this form and we’ll get in touch with you ASAP.
When do you deliver and pick up for a weekend event?
Weekend events get Friday delivery and Monday pickup. Single-day weekday events work too. Tell us your gate times when you book.
Do event porta potties need servicing?
A one-day event usually does not. Multi-day events can add service visits, so tell us when you book. See how porta potty servicing works.
Can you bring a dumpster for the event trash?
Yes. We can facilitate it all, including a dumpster rental for the same event, from the same phone number.
Do you do private parties and weddings too?
Yes. Weddings and private parties have their own page: wedding and private event porta potties. For a job site, see commercial job site rentals.
