Recycling at Bubs | Direct to Facility

Direct to Facility.
Not Dump + Dash.

Bubs Disposal routes every load to the right Utah recycling facility. If we can recycle it, we will. Metal to scrap. Concrete to crushing. Green waste to compost. Cardboard to paper recycling. Less to the landfill. Better for Utah.

Direct Routing, Not Dump + Dash.

Bubs routes. Utah facilities recycle.

Most Salt Lake City disposal companies dump-and-dash. The truck rolls into the landfill, tips the bin, and every recyclable stream is gone forever. Bubs Disposal doesn’t. If we can recycle a load, we route it to the right Utah facility.

Four streams, four facilities. Metal goes to scrap recyclers. Concrete to crushing. Green waste to compost. Cardboard to paper recycling. The recycling itself happens at the specialized facility — that is their licensed work, not ours. What Bubs does is pick up the load, sort the destination, and make sure every recyclable pound ends up where it should.

For our customers, this matters one way: less waste hits the landfill, which is the right thing to do for Utah soil, Utah construction supply, and Utah air.

Common Questions

Recycling FAQs.

Wait, you do not actually recycle?
Correct. Bubs Disposal is not the recycling facility itself. The recycling happens at specialized Utah facilities — scrap recyclers process the metal, crushing facilities process the concrete, compost facilities process the green waste, paper recyclers process the cardboard. What Bubs does is pick up your load and route it to the right place. We are the link in the chain that keeps recyclable material out of the landfill.
Do you offer standalone metal pickup?
Yes. If you have just metal (appliances, gutters, scrap), we run dedicated metal bin service. Call 801-230-5045 with the load description.
Do you handle refrigerator Freon recovery?
Yes. All refrigerators and AC units go through certified Freon recovery before scrap. EPA-compliant, no shortcuts.
Do you take aluminum cans and household scrap?
For our dumpster customers, yes. Household scrap rides along with the load. For walk-in scrap drop-off, we are a disposal company not a scrap yard. Check local scrap yards for can recycling.
What if my load is not recyclable?
Then it goes to the landfill — that is honest. Not every load qualifies for recycling, but if we can recycle a load, we will. Mixed household trash, hazardous waste, treated lumber, food-contaminated material, and similar do not route to the recycling streams. Clean construction debris, yard waste, metal, concrete, and cardboard typically do.
